HOW DOES THE PROCESS AT THE EMPORIUM WORK?

grandfather clock

Consignors sign a 90 day contract with the understanding that they will receive 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale. The Emporium earns 50 percent.

If the item isn't sold in the first 30 days, there is a 10 percent price discount, and there is another 10 percent price discount after 60 days. If the item is still on the floor after 90 days, the consignor simply takes it back.

The Emporium will accept furniture, glassware, rugs, wall hangings, antiques, lamps, fine jewelry, designer handbags, sterling, and unusual pieces on consignment. The Emporium does not accept clothing, electronics, appliances or mattresses. Items should be ready to be presented for sale, cleaned, free of damage and not in need of repair.

The staff of The Emporium will find a new home for your gently used furnishings. We will save you money and time by eliminating your advertising expense and the inconvenience of having strangers in your home showings.

By consigning these items to The Emporium, you can relax and expect to receive payment for the sale.

In order to price your items fairly, the staff will work with you to settle on a price agreeable to both parties. Any information you may have (purchase price, history, etc.) is helpful.

We also offer estate liquidation. We will purchase single items or the entire estate.
